Maryellen

Maryellen has several decades of experience as a writer, editor, and teacher. She is a published author of both books and articles and teaches college writing at Suffolk Community College. Previously she taught at Hofstra University, NYIT, and Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. She has a decade of experience as a high school English teacher and has coached many students through writing the college admission essay. Her students have successfully applied to both private schools—including top tier Ivy League schools such as Harvard and Cornell—and state schools. She has also helped students with personal statements for graduate school.
